How did Artisan Snacks’ go•ggi artisanal Korean jerky, get its acclaimed start? It’s thanks to my great grandmother who advised, “Great food is meant to be savored with family and friends.”

We do it today—with ever-widening circles of happy go•ggi customers around the world! As our family’s unparalleled Korean-style beef jerky-maker, my great grandmother was the leading lady on our family’s culinary odysseys to honor ancestral ceremonies.

Why are they odysseys? Unlike delicious meals, which would take only a few hours to make, preparing jerky took longer chunks of time—especially before the dehydrator oven became a household item. Jerky-making back then depended on mother nature’s own schedule—a waiting period up to seven days. But the results were spectacular jerky with an irresistible flavor and supple texture.

It was high culinary artwork—to honor centuries-old sacred Korean holiday traditions.

We strive to continue such traditions in our snacks whilst offering healthy snack options in today’s world.
